Classic Oak Reference Studio Monitors

The Reference Studio 30 Classic is a 2-way bass-reflex loudspeaker system engineered utilizing high-density solid European oak enclosures. Built upon strict electroacoustic calculations and structural measurements, every system delivers a verified, linear acoustic wavefront optimized for phase coherence.

Material Architecture: Solid European Oak & Local Elm

The Reference Studio 30 — Classic Oak is a physical manifestation of raw material density and linear structural alignment. Designed strictly for critical listening, its external chassis utilizes two complementary European timber profiles selected for their specific mechanical properties:

Symmetric Baffle Matrix: The front and rear baffles are machined from solid European oak, available in either disciplined vertical or horizontal lamella structures. Solid oak provides a high-mass, rigid boundary that effectively grounds the mechanical energy generated by the mid-woofer chassis.

Acoustic Wave Core: The side, top, and bottom walls utilize a high-density structural core layered with locally sourced Polish elm veneer. The elm’s fluid, organic grain is carefully oriented to match the linear direction of acoustic wave propagation, establishing visual and functional continuity across the cabinet lines.

Manufacturing Discipline: CNC Precision & Surface Polymers

Our production methodology unifies industrial dimensional accuracy with uncompromised manual craftsmanship

Surface Preservation & Optical Profiling

A modern high-stability preservation method. Multiple micro-layers of premium acrylic lacquer are applied and meticulously polished. This polymer coating preserves the raw, light, and natural color palette of the freshly machined timber while stabilizing the outer fibers against atmospheric shifts. The resulting surface layer delivers a flawlessly uniform, polished finish with a delicate, elegant low-gloss sheen.

Sub-Millimeter CNC Machining

To eliminate the unpredictable seal variances common in purely manual woodwork, the critical mounting interfaces are executed via precision CNC machining. The transducer driver recesses, binding post mounting plates, and bass-reflex exit pathways are milled to sub-millimeter tolerances. This ensures an absolutely airtight acoustic coupling, structural repeatability, and zero pressure leakage during high-excursion low-frequency reproduction.

Tung Oil & Beeswax

Following CNC geometry validation, the oak and elm components transition to completely manual surface processing. We offer two distinct preservation treatments that fundamentally alter both the mechanical dampening of the outer skin and the optical refraction of the timber structure.

A historic deep-penetration method. Four individual coats of pure natural tung oil are applied at strict intervals, chemically reacting with the wood pores to darken the cellular matrix and heavily accentuate the deep brown contrast of the grain. For the final application, the tung oil is integrated with a precisely metered volume of natural beeswax. This compound cures into a resilient, hydrophobic barrier that seals the timber against moisture absorption. The treatment deepens the color profile without altering the tactile grain texture, leaving the structural surface perfectly smooth to the touch, yet entirely matte and non-reflective.

Structural Elements & Serialized Pricing

Every listed pair of the Reference Studio 30 - Classic Oak is documented and photographed individually. The system you evaluate on screen - with its unique grain architecture and timber characteristics - is the exact, serialized unit allocated to your order.

The Wedge Key: An inlaid structural timber joint positioned at the foundation of the front baffle, serving as a functional alignment anchor and the primary geometric signature that identifies Oak Audio architecture without surface labeling.

Rear Interface: Solid American walnut backplate fitted with heavy-duty, 24k gold-plated binding posts and an individually laser-engraved solid brass nameplate (75 x 35 mm/2.95 x 1.38 inch).

Verification & Acquisition Framework

To accommodate efficiency and accommodate listeners globally, we fully support direct order allocation based on published technical data. Discerning listeners who evaluate system performance through our documented anechoic response curves and engineering specifications may bypass the physical laboratory audit and initiate immediate build configuration and shipment.

Laboratory Sessions
Direct Allocation

We welcome sound engineers, designers, and critical listeners to engage in a technical consultation. For individuals prioritizing a physical audit of the system, individual validation sessions are coordinated within the acoustic environment of our primary laboratory facility in Częstochowa, Poland. During these sessions, we supply raw anechoic measurement plots and finalize personalized serialization directives for the brass nameplate.
