Our core loudspeaker design combines precise electroacoustic engineering with carefully selected natural materials. Each pair is built and measured as a matched system to ensure consistent performance from the workshop to the listening room.
Acoustic Design: A balanced two-way system developed for accurate near- and mid-field listening.
Precision Construction: Cabinet components are CNC-machined to sub-millimetre tolerances for precise assembly, consistent sealing and controlled diffraction.
Natural Materials: Solid wood structural elements are combined with carefully selected veneers, with plastics avoided wherever practical.
The Reference Studio Series
The Reference Studio Series brings together precise acoustic engineering and traditional woodworking. Each cabinet combines solid hardwood construction with CNC-machined components for consistent, sub-millimetre accuracy.
A hand-fitted timber inlay at the base of the front baffle is a distinctive Oak Audio detail — a simple signature shared by every loudspeaker we build.
Reference Studio 30 — Classic Oak
European oak, precise engineering and a natural finish — our classic interpretation of the Reference Studio 30.
Solid Oak Baffles: Front and rear baffles are machined from solid European oak, with carefully arranged horizontal or vertical grain patterns.
Hand-Finished Surfaces: Choose between natural tung oil with a hand-applied beeswax finish, or a durable clear acrylic lacquer in a subtle semi-gloss.
Rear Panel: Solid American walnut fitted with heavy-duty 24k gold-plated binding posts and an individually numbered brushed-brass nameplate.
Reference Studio 30 — Tirol Heritage
A limited edition crafted with century-old reclaimed Alpine pine from Jenbach, Austria — combining local history with the acoustic precision of the Reference Studio 30.
Century-Old Alpine Pine: Front and rear baffles are crafted from reclaimed Alpine pine sourced from buildings in Jenbach, Austria. Around a century of natural ageing gives the timber exceptional stability and a character unique to every pair.
Protective Finish: The Alpine pine is sealed with multiple layers of clear acrylic lacquer, preserving its natural colour and protecting the surface from changes in humidity.
Elm Veneer: The side panels are finished with carefully selected Polish elm veneer, chosen for its distinctive flowing grain and natural character.
